Yes, Christmas is fun indeed! We did many things and the best was obviously the visit by Santa overnight. I met him in person and asked him to bring me my Monster trucks from Cars, and so he did! I left him cookies and milk and when I woke up they were gone, a sure sign that he had come by. And, of course, not to forget, the great presents.

I do think I have been a good boy. And as you can see there is the really big present in the background, and it took my parents the whole day to put that train set together. It has also been good to be all together as a family because my Dad was very busy this year and now he had some time to play and talk with me. 

Yes, Christmas was great and I also enjoyed New Year. I was a bit scared because I thought there would be a lot of noise but it was fun actually and I got to beat the pots and pans for some noise and shouted “Happy New Year” from the balcony.

July 1, Canada Day, this year was great fun. We went to various events. A few of the highlights were the military robot that would take paper out of my hand, yummy food and ice cream and, of course, the parade. We had a couple of flags that we were waving and some on our face and it felt just like before a hockey game.

I enjoyed the parade the most. Apart from police sirens and firetrucks, they had a green gaga (garbage truck). And many people were dancing as they walked past us and at one point I joined them. I started dancing in front of Daddy and Mummy and then decided to walk on just like the parade people. Three times my parents had to catch me on the way but the people loved it as they were cheering me on and taking pictures and videos. In a way, I was part of the parade too.

Then we had burgers and they said that there would be fireworks later on, but I had mixed feelings about them at the time as I know they can be a little loud and I don’t like loud noise very much. But in the end, we were all very tired from the long day and we ended up sleeping and missed the fireworks altogether. It was a fun day and I like the summer because there is so much to do!

I really like sports, whether it is T-ball (more commonly known as soccer), Basketball, or even American football, at least my version of it. But hockey has been one of my most favorite ones and especially now during the Cup fever here. Everybody is really excited about the Canucks and I have been practicing my own hockey skills.

Here I am at one of the coolest places in the summer called Kidzone. They got so many different activities for kids like me. At home I often play hockey with my Dad and Mom, where I am sometimes a player from the Canucks, Chicago or Sharks, and other times I am a goalie. Most of the moves I have copied from the games on TV.

Apart from playing I also enjoy “crowd surfing.” To go outside when our team has won a game and high-five many happy boys and girls and watch all those happy cars drive by. It goes crazy then and everybody screams. I like that best and then come home and play a little bit more hockey.

There have been many evenings of my favorite series “Six Feet Under,” but now that has come to an end. My favorite part is the opening credits with the fun music. In fact, I have developed my own special dance routine.

I also like the part where they have a birthday party with lots of candles and one scene where one of the guys says that he had a bad dream. I sometimes have bad dreams too and sometimes it’s my birthday and I blow out the candles, so I could relate to both those things.

Another opening I like a lot is also Dexter. That one I don’t dance to, but it has cool shots of him shaving, of red salsa, of Dexter eating an egg and flossing his teeth. Some mornings I have my breakfast just like Dexter.

I don’t actually watch these series, but I get excited when my parents do. My favorite programs are still cartoons and my all-time favorite is still “Cars,” with Lightning McQueen. He’s so funny! And just yesterday we had the “Incredible” family over, full of action and explosions.

One of my favorite places for playing, especially during rainy or wintry days is the library. Apart from many books, they have a kid’s part where I love to play. Often there are other kids to play with, but unfortunately, some of them act less than civilized and are very immature and childish for their age.

But the good thing is that there is always a lot of things to do. One of my favorite games is called “Dats.” That is when I pile up various pieces and then suddenly go “dats” and everything falls down to the ground. As you can see, I had just prepared my next round of Dats in this photo, regardless of all the noisy kids running around.

Another great thing about the library is that we almost always go out for lunch after. Most of the times, it is my beloved Burger King, but sometimes it is yummy yummy pizza. It is a great way to round up a fun day at the library.

I am a big fan of sports and love watching and playing hockey, basketball and T-ball (= soccer). Here you can see me playing with my first hockey stickee along with my favorite red car shoes. My Dad says I can hit the ball — or is it puck? — really hard and he makes the goal sound and siren when I score a goal.

When we have snow here, which has not been very often, we take my hockey stick and play outside. But I can’t wait to finally put on skates and play on real ice instead of pretend ice. In the meantime, I keep practicing my hockey skills to be ready when the moment comes.

Christmas was great fun! We did many cool things like the Santa Claus Parade and the Bright Lights at Stanley Park. And I got to meet Santa for the first time! He was coming down the stairs shouting “hohoho” with bells ringing. He got me some gifts, not the gaga (= garbage truck) I had wished for but instead a car-wash with many cars. I have a great car collection now and one day I will write a post about it.

At the Gingerbread Lane in the Hyatt Hotel I got to pose as a a gingerbread boy. I like the yellow bow-tie best. They had a lot of gingerbread things there and all of them looked so yummy. I noticed that some smarties were missing on my gingerbread man (but it wasn’t me, I promise!).

Yet the bestest thing was the toy train they had running at that place. It went round and round. I’ve been a fan of trains ever since watching Thomas and Chuggington. I really like trains and can’t wait to be riding on one myself soon!

I have a new passion for painting as you can see above and you have one of my recent works as well. My parents say I have talent, but I don`t know about those things. I just know that I really enjoy painting.

And between my parents it is pretty unbalanced. My Dad may be able to do many things, but painting is surely not one of them! And on the other hand, my mother is very good at drawing and painting. So in this case I hope I am leaning towards my mother`s side! Well, anyhow, you decide. And perhaps, if I keep enjoying it like this I will be a painter one day. Or else a hockey player.

For Halloween this year I chose this Tiger costume. It was simple but effective and I chose it because I like “Tigger” from Winnie the Pooh. I could roaaaaar like a Tiger and really scare people! I also had a hanging tail which you cannot see in the picture above.

We went to the mall with my grandparents and I saw many other kids dressed up and it was fun. There was not a lot of “trick or treating” for me this Halloween, but we had candy and colored popcorn, so that was good too. Next year I wanna be even scarier (maybe a lion?) and we will probably go from house to house in the search for yummy candy!

I went to my very first hockey game and it was sooo much fun! At the beginning I was overwhelmed with all the flashing lights and the music! I didn`t know what to say or think at first, but one thing was clear: I liked it!

Then after the anthem, the game started and I got to see all the hockey players. Whenever the Canucks scored a goal, everybody jumped up and was really happy and they sounded this long loud horn. My only bad experience was the “churro incident.” My Dad had bought this super-big churro for me and I was really enjoying it while watching the game. But then suddenly, it fell down and nobody could reach it and so I was suddenly left without churros! (But my Dad bought me churros a few days later which I dipped in chocolate sauce and it was really yummy).

My Dad is a big hockey fan and he often watches it on TV. After my own live hockey experience, I am also following it and I imitate some of the hockey moves myself with my hockey-stick and I pretend to be skating on ice just like them. You see, I am a hockey player too!
